The Bright Start Confidence Set includes 1x Bright Start Breastplate and 1 x Magic Handle.

The Bright Start Breastplate fits around the neck of the pony for freedom of movement but with the connectors to the girth lying across the shoulders it acts like long lines, supporting his shoulder for reassurance and to aid turning - reducing falling in or out for instance.  There's also no strap between the pony's front legs - so no restriction or risk of catching a leg and that makes for easier tacking up for child or adult too.  Indeed, with the clips at the base of the breastplate, the pony is easily tacked up by placing the breastplate over his neck and then attaching to the girth - he doesn't need to stop eating his hay! The connectors can be fed around the girth or clipped onto a girth buckle or D as suits your saddle and girthing arrangement.

The Magic Handle is a valuable training, balance and confidence aid for the rider, encouraging connection and relaxation between rider and pony. 

The Magic Handle clips on to the Bright Start Breastplate but whereas a traditional balance strap to the saddle is too close to the rider and doesn't communicate with the horse, this handle gives the rider a safety and schooling aid whenever they need it.  It can be held in one or both hands and sits proud so can be easily picked up or released as needs be.  For ponies that tend to snatch at the rein or be on their forehand and tip the rider forward, the Magic Handle is especially helpful.  As the rider pulls on the handle it engages the breastplate at the base of the neck which encourages the pony to lift up from the base of the neck, come off his forehand and hence aids both horse and rider being in balance and harmony together.  Adjustable in length, let the Magic Handle also helps the rider feel secure in a spook or during lunge lessons and helps even the smallest of riders develop correct posture, hand position and is kinder to the pony too as there's less likelihood of balancing on the rein or catching the pony in the mouth - they can even use it to encourage turning using the Bright Start Breastplate to encourage a turn through the shoulders rather than pulling on the inside rein!
